Ukraine and NATO will hold an emergency meeting on Russia’s use of a new ballistic missile to strike the Dnieper.
Foreign Minister Andrej Sibiga spoke about this during a joint press conference with Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky, reports the publication Public.
Sibiga emphasized that Russia’s use of new weapons poses a threat to transatlantic security.
We initiated a meeting in the Ukraine-NATO format. We already have a date – Tuesday, November 26,” he noted. “Until this time, we will try to collect as much evidence as possible, conduct research in order to more substantively present to the allies our vision of both the consequences and the nature of the weapons that were struck.
According to Sibiga, the main issue at the meeting will be strengthening Ukrainian air defense.
We will raise the issue of limiting Russian capabilities to produce this type of weapon and reducing the capabilities of the Russian defense industry, which, despite all the sanctions, continues to grow. This is a fact,” he noted.
According to the Minister, Ukraine hopes for concrete, meaningful results after the meeting.
Earlier, the AFP agency reported the intention of representatives of Ukraine and NATO to hold an emergency meeting on Russia’s use of a new ballistic missile to strike the Dnieper, citing informed sources.
