The ISS in The Hague issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog called the decision of the International Criminal Court (ICC) to issue an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant. He wrote this on Thursday, November 21, on the X social network.
“The ISS made an unconscionable and outrageous decision, which made a universal mockery of justice,” the Israeli President said.
According to him, the ISS turned the justice system into a human shield for the crimes of the Palestinian Hamas movement.
He also called the issuance of the arrest warrant a “dark day for justice” and a “dark day for humanity.”
According to him, this decision ignores, in particular, the many hostages and victims of Israeli citizens, as well as the reality of Hamas attacks on Israel.
The United States condemned the ISS’s decision to issue arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant, citing the court’s lack of jurisdiction.
Borrell said all EU countries must comply with the ICC order against Netanyahu.
