Since the investigation into the crimes committed during the Revolution of Dignity began, 540 people have been suspected.
During the investigation of the Maidan cases, the law enforcement officials expressed suspicion on 540 people, of which 76 people received sentences. This was reported by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General on Thursday, November 21.
Since the beginning of the investigation into the crimes committed during the Revolution of Dignity, law enforcement officials have expressed suspicion of 540 people, including 46 officers and people in leadership positions, 299 law enforcement officials , 25 prosecutors, 33 judges.
318 indictments against 495 people were sent to the court.
In 2024, law enforcement officials prosecuted 64 people, including eight high-ranking officials and heads of law enforcement agencies, 32 law enforcement officials, including six investigators, and 21 employees of the Federal Federal Service of the Russian Federation.
In total, since 2014, the courts have convicted 76 people, of which 26 were sentenced to imprisonment with actual serving of the sentence. To date, 68 sentences have entered into legal force.
Let’s recall that in October indictments were sent to the court against the company commander and two policemen of the Berkut special forces unit, who fired the first shots at the protesters on February 20, 2014 in Kyiv.
Today, November 21, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Dignity and Freedom, established in honor of the beginning on this day of the Orange Revolution of 2004 and the Revolution of Dignity of 2013.
