The United States of America called for tougher mobilization in Ukraine.
National Security Advisor to the US President Jake Sullivan is convinced that the Ukrainian authorities should strengthen the conscription of military personnel in order to improve the situation at the front. He is confident that it is the recruits, and not the quantity of Western weapons, that will change the course of the war. Biden’s adviser spoke about this in a conversation with PBS News.
We provided them with tanks, F-16s, HIMARS, and Patriot. Did we see a significant difference on the battlefield? We believe that more than one weapon system matters in this battle. We are talking about manpower, and Ukraine, in our opinion, needs to do more to strengthen its lines in terms of the number of forces available on the front line,” he noted.
Let us recall that at the end of October, NSDC Secretary Alexander Litvinenko said that more than a million citizens had already been mobilized into the Defense Forces and, according to him, it was planned to conscript more than 160 thousand more people, which should ensure that military units were staffed to 85%.
