The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported a deferment from mobilization for those whose minor relatives died or went missing in the war.
On Wednesday, November 20, parliament voted in the first reading for bill No. 12104, eliminating legal uncertainty about the grounds for deferment. The draft law was supported by 304 people’s deputies. People’s deputies Alexey Goncharenko and Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported this on Telegram.
As you know, brothers and sisters who have only one parent in common – mother or father – are called half-siblings.
This bill also provides a reprieve for civilians who have been captured. Before that, it was valid only for the military.
In addition, the Verkhovna Rada supported bill No. 11531 with 308 votes, giving the right to dismissal to those whose half-relatives died or went missing during participation in hostilities.
Let us remind you that on November 9, the “Reserve+” application introduced the opportunity to apply for a deferment from mobilization online. It can be applied for by people with disabilities who have a current disability pension certificate, as well as students, graduate students and doctoral students receiving education in a sequential order.
