The leader of the Kremlin is becoming increasingly confident in the international arena – attempts to isolate the Russian dictator have failed.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin plans to visit India. This will happen for the first time since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Bloomberg reported this.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the dates of the visit to meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi were still being agreed, but the Kremlin “is already looking forward to the trip.”
“After Prime Minister Modi’s two visits to Russia, we now have President Putin’s visit to India. We attach great importance to these contacts,” Peskov said.
The publication said that if Putin were to travel to India, it would signal the dictator’s growing confidence about traveling abroad after the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for him in March for war crimes against Ukraine.
India is not a member of the ISS and is not bound to comply with the court order. However, Putin decided not to attend last year’s G20 summit in India.
Let’s recall that in a meeting at the BRICS summit in Kazan, Modi told Putin that the war between Russia and Ukraine should end peacefully.
