There are currently around 130 hostages in Hamas captivity captured in Israel.
Israel is ready to pay the Palestinians five million dollars for each hostage freed from the hands of the Palestinian Hamas movement. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced this on Tuesday, November 19, during a trip to the Gaza Strip, The Times of Israel wrote.
He noted that the state is doing everything possible to bring home its captives and assured that it will continue until it achieves the return of all the captives – “both alive and dead.”
“Whoever dares to harm our hostages will be held accountable, we will hunt you down and we will get you,” the prime minister promised.
He added that Israel will pay five million dollars to each person who delivers a hostage to Israel.
“The choice is in your hands, but the result is the same. We will bring everyone home,” Netanyahu said.
The former press secretary of the Prime Minister of Israel was previously reported to be in jail. The reason is the leak of secret military documents to journalists, which could jeopardize negotiations for the return of hostages currently held by Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip.
