The Drone Coalition countries will allocate additional funding for the development and procurement of UAVs for Ukraine.
The UK government has announced £7.5 million in funding for attack and reconnaissance drones. These are additional funds for the Drone Coalition, which the country co-leads with Latvia. Money for drones for Ukraine was allocated from the annual funding fund of 3 billion pounds sterling. This was reported on the British government website.
Three more states also contributed new assets to the drone coalition. In particular, Germany sent 12 million 700 thousand euros, and Canada and Luxembourg – 3 million 800 thousand dollars each.
Thus, the total fund of the drone coalition will be more than 85 million. Of this amount, the British contributed $19 million.
Let us recall that in the spring of this year, as part of a meeting of the Ramstein contact group, a new coalition of “long-range rocket artillery assets” was created for the Ukrainian army. The initiators were France, Germany and Poland. Also in March, a coalition of armored vehicles in support of Ukraine began working in Poland.
