The head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, confirmed that the US authorities allowed Ukraine to strike deep into Russia.
The deputy head of the European Commission said that the US administration has authorized the use of long-range missiles for attacks on Russian territory.
According to Borrell, Ukraine has received permission for strikes with a range of 300 km.

The day before, The New York Times, citing American officials, reported that the US President allowed Kyiv to use long-range ATACMS missiles to attack Russian territory. Reuters wrote that Ukraine plans to use these weapons in the coming days.
NYT wrote that this was Joe Biden’s response to Russia’s decision to send North Korean troops into battle – but did not specify whether the permission would apply only to the Kursk region.
