The radio intercept recorded how the commanders of the Russian occupation army gave orders to their subordinates to commit a war crime – to shoot a prisoner.

The Main Intelligence Directorate intercepted the conversation of the Russian military command. During the conversation, the Russian commander ordered the Russians to kill Ukrainian prisoners of war. The press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate reported this on Monday, November 18.

“The radio intercept received by military intelligence officers at the front recorded how the commanders of the Russian occupation army gave orders to their subordinates to commit a war crime – to shoot a prisoner ,” the report said.

GUR emphasized that the recorded fact is further evidence of the deliberate genocidal policy of the occupation army in the criminal war against Ukraine launched by Russia.

At the same time, enemy broadcasts confirmed that a Muscovite with the call sign “Groza” was seriously wounded. Therefore, a Russian military man with the call sign “Grif”, who was in the same group with the wounded man, was ordered to tie him with a tourniquet, give him painkillers, take a position and shoot back.

“The GUR MOU reminds: for every war crime committed against Ukraine there will be a fair revenge,” added the press service.

Let’s remember that the previous Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmitry Lubinets, said that the killing of Ukrainian prisoners of war was a deliberate tactic by Russia to scare its own soldiers into surrender.

Let’s add that law enforcement officials are investigating 49 criminal proceedings related to the killing of 124 prisoners of war on the battlefield.
