Western partners must announce a date for Ukraine’s entry into NATO, provide $500 billion in loans, and authorize Storm Shadow and SCALP missile attacks on Russia.
On the eve of the thousandth day of the war in Ukraine, the former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson developed a plan for the West, which, according to him, will not only help Ukraine not to be defeated, but also also to win. He wrote this on Monday, November 18, on the X social network.
In particular, Johnson called for announcing the date for Ukraine’s accession to NATO.
“Ukraine is no longer a satellite of Moscow, but a free and independent sovereign democratic European country. This means that we must have the courage and logic to give the Ukrainians the security guarantees they need and express the a date for Ukraine’s accession to NATO in the near future,” Johnson said.
His plan also includes giving Ukraine a $500 billion loan.
“It is time to give the Ukrainians the financial strength to survive and win this conflict by giving them a $500 billion Lend-Lease-type loan that they can repay,” the former prime minister wrote.
He welcomed US President Joe Biden’s decision to allow Ukraine to use ATACMS missiles to attack Russian bases.
At the same time, the politician emphasized that Great Britain and France should symmetrically allow the use of Storm Shadow and SCALP cruise missiles.
Johnson believes the moves will convince Russian dictator Vladimir Putin that “he has made a huge mistake and that he will never subjugate the Ukrainian people.”
Let’s remember that on the eve of The New York Times, citing sources, reported that the current US President Joe Biden for the first time authorized the military of Ukraine to use long-range ATACMS missiles to strike the territory of Russia. This permission was in response to Russia’s unexpected decision to engage North Korean troops in the conflict.
Subsequently, information appeared in the media that France and Britain also authorized long-range strikes on the Russian Federation, but there has been no confirmation.
