The aggressor country Russia violated the airspace of Moldova.
This happened on Sunday, November 17, during a combined Russian air strike on Ukraine. Both missiles and drones crossed Moldovan airspace, attacking a critical structure in Ukraine. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, Mikhail Popsoi, announced this on the social network.
Explosions near our border and sightings of low-flying drones over villages highlight the risks to our people from Russia’s brutal war, it said.
As you know, this is not the first time that Moldova has recorded the consequences of Russian air attacks on Ukraine. In particular, on October 16, fragments of a shell or missile were discovered on Moldovan territory. They were found 4 km from the border with Ukraine, near the village of Lenkovtsy.
We heavily expose the violation of Moldova’s airspace in Russia from missiles and drones targeting Ukraine’s critical infrastructure today. Let us remind you that fragments of Russian drones have been repeatedly found on the territory of Romania – drones regularly fly into the country, with which the Russians attack the Odessa region. The Romanian Ministry of Defense has already prepared a draft law that would allow the shooting down of drones that violate the country’s airspace.
