Odessa was left without electricity and water as a result of early morning Russian shelling.
Residents of Odessa heard explosions in the morning, after which the electricity in the city was turned off, and subsequently in part of the city the water supply was turned off.
On the morning of November 17, emergency power outages were applied, which is why a number of Infoxvodokanal facilities were de-energized. According to Infoxvodokanal, to restore water supply, most pump stations were switched to operating from generators.
However, the significant power and technological operating conditions of some of them do not allow the use of autonomous power sources.
The KP “Heat Supply of the City of Odessa” explained that the lack of heat is due to the shutdown of the water supply and as soon as it is resumed, it will be possible to restore the heat supply.
Also, city electric transport stopped running in Odessa.
Throughout the Odessa region there are interruptions in the supply of heat, water and electricity. Emergency power outages are used as directed by Ukrenergo.
