In China, a former student of the Vocational College of Arts and Technology in Wuxi County attacked residents of the institution’s dormitory with a knife. CNN reported this on Saturday, November 16, citing local police.

According to law enforcement officials, as a result of the attack, eight people died and 17 were injured. The suspect was detained and confessed to his crime. He is known as a 21-year-old former graduate student known as Su.

“While the preliminary investigation established, the suspect attacked others after he failed the exam and did not receive his graduation certificate, he was also not satisfied with the compensation for his internship,” the police said.

It was the second deadly attack in China in a week – on November 11, a driver drove a car into a crowd in the southern city of Zhunai. Then 35 people died, another 43 were seriously injured.

Earlier, in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, a bus fell into a deep ravine, killing at least 36 people.
