A petition has appeared on the website of the President’s Office calling for a review of the program of paying thousands of hryvnia to all Ukrainians. Its author notes that the effectiveness of such a program is quite doubtful.
In particular, Roman Stan writes that the program is not targeted, since support for the winter period is necessary only for a certain list of citizens. The author of the appeal proposes to increase the amount of payments for those who really need them.
The author notes that in the proposed program it is not entirely clear where the money for this will come from.
At the same time, such a program is not targeted, since support for the winter period is necessary only for a certain list of citizens, namely pensioners, low-income families, large families, and internally displaced persons, writes the author of the petition.
The situation indicates that for households with an average salary these funds will not be so important, and the difference that will be formed after clear targeting will make it possible to increase the size of payments specifically for those who really need them.
The text of the appeal also notes that due to shortcomings of certain executive authorities, a surplus of funds has formed that cannot be used to finance the army, but can be directed to various government programs for which funding has run out, for example, “eselya”.
Let us recall that in October, President Vladimir Zelensky instructed the government to introduce a new support program from December 1. They plan to provide each citizen in Ukraine with one thousand hryvnia.
It will be possible to receive funds regardless of age and social status, and they need to be spent during the winter. For a thousand you can pay for utilities, medicines, transport, mobile communications, purchase of Ukrainian books and other services, as well as transfer money to support the troops.
