The procurement agency State Logistics Operator announced the procurement of food for the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the first half of 2025. The expected value of purchases is more than UAH 20 billion. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.
It was noted that the tenders were announced according to the current model: the supplier independently determines the manufacturers of goods for the APU. In order to improve the quality of products and strengthen control, the new agreement already provides several changes: detailing product descriptions, expanding the scope of audits and inspections, updating transportation requirements, and changing penalties.
According to the Ministry of Defense, a procurement announcement is subsequently planned for a new pilot procurement model, presented in September 2024. This week, framework agreements for signal tenders for producers have been announced in individual categories, such as vegetables and fruits, sausages, dairy products and fish.
