The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine plans to complete work on a bill defining the procedure and conditions for the dismissal of certain categories of military personnel during martial law by December 18.
This was reported by the Ukrayinska Pravda publication with reference to the commentary of the Secretary of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Roman Kostenko.
According to Kostenko, the committee contacted the Ministry of Defense with an official request to develop this bill.
The other day, a response was received stating that, in accordance with the MOU plan, the project will be ready within the period specified by parliament until December 18, 2024, Kostenko noted.
Kostenko noted that it is not yet known what mechanisms for the dismissal of military personnel from service will be offered by the Ministry of Defense.
On April 11, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on mobilization. The provision on the dismissal of military personnel from service was excluded from the final version of the bill, but the Rada obliged the Ministry of Defense to develop a corresponding bill within eight months.
