Russian woman sentenced to eight years in prison for posts about Putin’s assassination

In Russia, the 2nd Western District Military Court convicted Muscovite Anastasia Berezhinskaya for posts calling for the assassination of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. SOTAvision reported this on Thursday, November 14.

The court found the director of the theater guilty under the articles about “falsifications” about the army and “shaming” the army. Berezhinskaya was sentenced to eight years in a general regime colony and taken into custody in the courtroom.

Before this, the prosecutor asked to consider mitigating circumstances: the woman has two children aged 8 and 10 years, health problems and a difficult financial situation.

The reason for prosecuting the woman was seven posts on the social network VKontakte about events in Bucha, Kyiv region and Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, as well as posts with alleged calls for the assassination of Putin. He admitted partial guilt.

Let’s recall that the Moscow court previously sentenced an IT specialist to 13.5 years in prison “for collaboration with the CIA.
