Despite the damage to the dam, all the water from the Kurakhovsky reservoir is not flowing, said Roman Padun.
In the Donetsk region, after damage to the Ternovskaya dam of the reservoir near the city of Kurakhovo, water continues to flow, but the flooding of houses has not been recorded. This is what the head of the Kurakhovsk City Military Administration (GVA), Roman Padun, said in a commentary for Public Donbass on Tuesday, November 12.
“That’s why we haven’t been able to go out and inspect this dam. The water continues to rise under the Ternovskaya dam.
According to him, the Russians tried to destroy the dam with UABs for three months. Despite the damage, all the water from the reservoir did not flow out.
“The dam is built in such a way that the entire surface of the reservoir is not drained.
The day before, on November 11, it became known that the Russians blew up the dam of the Kurakhovsky reservoir in the Donetsk region. Since yesterday, water from the reservoir began to fill the Volchya River towards the settlements of Bogatyr, Andreevka and Alekseevka.
Today it became known that the moment of the explosion at the dam near Kurakhovo was captured on video.
