The day before, on November 11, it became known that the Russians blew up the dam of the Kurakhovsky reservoir in the Donetsk region. Since yesterday, water from the reservoir began to fill the Volchya River towards the settlements of Bogatyr, Andreevka and Alekseevka.
Most of the local residents have been evacuated from villages in the affected area. At the same time, local authorities ensure that the water currently does not threaten Kurakhovo.
The Kurakhovskoe reservoir is located on the Volchya River, its outflow near the village of Progress flows through the Donetsk and Dnepropetrovsk regions. The city of Kurakhovo stands on the banks of a river and a reservoir, which was created to cool the Kurakhovo thermal power plant.
We remind you that due to the explosion of the dam, the water is approaching the populated areas of the community of Velikonovoselkovskaya, but it is impossible to assess the criticality of the situation due to the shelling.
