Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky held a meeting with volunteers and representatives of civil society.
The press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this today, November 12.
The meeting was attended by:
- volunteers Igor Lachenkov and Sergey Sternenko;
- founder of the Dignitas charity foundation, Lyubov Shipovich;
- human rights activist and co-founder of the NGO “Princip” Lyubov Galan.
The meeting was held with the coordination and assistance of the Adviser to the President of Ukraine on Communications Dmitry Lytvyn. Also taking part in the meeting were the head of the Military Law Enforcement Service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Vitaly Levchenko, and the head of the Main Directorate of Psychological Support for Personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Andrey Martynov, the General Staff said.
It is noted that during the meeting:
- a number of issues vital to the functioning of all components of the Defense Forces were discussed – from technological innovations being introduced in the troops to current problems of consolidating society around the army;
- The conversation participants agreed that such meetings are useful, given the opportunity for constructive discussion.
This practice will further help level out the enemy’s destructive influence on personnel and Ukrainian society, the General Staff is convinced.
Sternenko also spoke about the details of the meeting in his Telegram channel.
I was invited too. I joined to personally discuss all the problems that I have been voicing for a long time. “I think it’s right to use every opportunity to convey directly and directly the problems of the military with whom we work,” he noted.
According to Sternenko, during the meeting he “raised the most pressing issues,” such as:
- creation of an effective mechanism for changing duty stations (transfer);
- the need to evaluate the effectiveness of commanders for maximum safety of people;
- structural and organizational issues;
- further development of unmanned systems, including for air defense.
Our state is now in a difficult situation, and we must change and interact in order to survive. “We will change or we will die,” he emphasized.
Let us recall that Sternenko recently stated that he was allegedly put on the wanted list on the “direct orders” of Syrsky due to his alleged failure to appear at the TCC.
