The man walked around the city and the surrounding area, where he secretly recorded the location and movement routes of the Ukrainian defenders.
The security service detained an FSB agent in the Kharkov region who was directing Russian missile, bomb and artillery strikes on Ukrainian troops defending Kupyansk. The SBU press service reported this on Tuesday, November 12.
It was noted that the updated targets of the enemy are headquarters, fortified areas and firing positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the front zone.
The spotter turned out to be an unemployed local, who was “noticed” by the FSB because of his pro-Kremlin comments on Russian Telegram channels. After the recruitment, the traitor walked around the center of the region and nearby territory, where he secretly recorded the location and movement routes of the Ukrainian defenders.
For each location “leaked” by the Defense Forces, the occupiers promised a monetary reward, but the agent never received any enemy funds. SBU officials exposed the spotter early and locked him up in his own home.
During the search, a mobile phone with evidence of his contact with the FSB was confiscated from the defendant.
Security Service investigators informed the agent of suspicion of treason committed under martial law. The attacker is in custody. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of assets.
We remind you that earlier the SBU detained an FSB agent in the Sumy region. The man tried to collect and transfer to the Russians the locations of Ukrainian defenders defending Ukraine’s northern border with the Russian Federation.
Law enforcement officials detained five men who committed arson in three regions of Ukraine. In particular, they tried to destroy a Ukrainian Armed Forces helicopter.
