The meetings in Tehran will build on Grossi’s discussions with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
The director general of the UN International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, plans to visit Iran next week. This was reported by the press service of the Agency.
“Director General Grossi will travel to Tehran next week for high-level meetings with Iranian officials. He will hold technical discussions on all aspects related to the ‘Common Statement’ agreed with Iran on March 2023,” the statement said.
It was noted that the meetings in Tehran will be based on Grossi’s discussions with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
“It is important that we make significant progress in the implementation of the Joint Statement agreed with Iran in March 2023. My visit to Tehran will be very important in this regard,” Grossi commented on the upcoming visit.
Earlier, Grossi said Iran was “weeks rather than months” from having enough enriched uranium to build an atomic bomb.
Let’s remember that Iran, contrary to international requirements, has again increased its uranium reserves, enriched almost to the level of weapons level.
The media also reported that Iran’s nuclear program has a military orientation. Information from the intelligence services of the Netherlands, Sweden, Germany and Denmark indicates that Tehran has plans to create nuclear weapons.
