Trump is “talking about peace” and not about confrontation;
The Kremlin said it sees “positive signs” in US President-elect Donald Trump’s position on Russia’s war in Ukraine. Radio Liberty reported this on Sunday, November 10.
“The signs are positive. Trump during his election campaign spoke about how he sees everything because of the agreements, that he can conclude an agreement that can lead to peace,” the Kremlin spokesman said that Dmitry Peskov in an interview with Russian state media.
Peskov said that Trump is “talking about peace” and not about confrontation “he is not talking about the desire to cause a strategic defeat to Russia, and this shows him in favor of the current administration of US.”
At the same time, he admitted that it is difficult to predict “how Trump will follow through on the statements made during the campaign.”
We previously reported that Donald Trump, who won the US election, may try to negotiate with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to end Russia’s war in Ukraine. But such an agreement is unlikely to be in the interest of Europe and Ukraine. Czech President Petr Pavel announced this on Friday.
Dialogue has been established between Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky and US President-elect Donald Trump. The teams will start organizing their meeting.
Let’s remember that during the election campaign, Trump repeatedly promised to quickly end the war in Ukraine.
