Russia suffered an average of about 1,500 dead and wounded every day in October, noted Tony Radakin.
Throughout October 2024, the Russian army suffered the largest monthly losses since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. This was said by the commander of the British Armed Forces, Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, in an interview with the BBC.
Russian troops suffered an average of about 1,500 dead and wounded every day last month, and their total losses since February 2022 are approaching 700,000.
He emphasized that the Russian people are paying an “extraordinary price” for the invasion of Ukraine.
“Russia is about to lose 700 thousand people killed and wounded – this is enormous pain and suffering that the Russian people are forced to endure because of Putin’s ambitions,” the military said.
The total losses of Russian forces in Ukraine are approximately 709 thousand.
Radakin added that Russia’s significant losses were suffered “on a small piece of land.”
“There is no doubt that Russia has a tactical, territorial benefit, and it puts pressure on Ukraine,” admitted the Briton, adding that Russia spends more than 40% of its government spending on defense and security.
As already written, Ukrainian defenders destroyed the Russian Buk-M2 air defense system in the Zaporozhye region.
Let’s add that the soldiers of the RV and Kurt&Company unit of the 28th Mechanized Infantry Brigade destroyed another Russian attack group outside Toretsk.
