The US has completed counting votes in the presidential election.
Republican candidate Donald Trump won. Specifically in Michigan, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina, Wisconsin and Nevada. He received 312 votes. Democratic candidate Kamala Harris received 226 votes. This was reported by the Associated Press and Reuters.
It is noted that in 2024, Trump won 74.6 million votes nationwide, or 50.5% against Harris’ 70.9 million (48%).
Also, according to media reports, the Republican Party is likely to gain a majority in the Senate and House of Representatives. This way, Trump will be able to implement his policies as effectively as possible.
The inauguration of the new US President is scheduled for January 20.
