There are still enough air defense systems in Europe that can provide Ukraine with truly reliable protection, the head of state said.
President Vladimir Zelensky chided his partners for not providing Ukraine with an adequate air defense system, while they “just stand idly by.” The head of state said this in an evening video message on Saturday, November 9.
“This week, unfortunately, Ukraine brought Russia’s brutal attacks on Kharkov, the Donetsk region, the Sumy region and Zaporozhye. In fact, drones attack every meeting, every interaction – talk with partners who have appropriate air defense systems – this is always a talk about additional protection of Ukraine from Russian terror,” said Zelensky.
According to the president, “in Europe, on the continent, there are still enough air defense systems that can provide Ukraine with truly reliable protection.”
“And it will not be understood – when the air defense is just standing there when each system can save hundreds, or even thousands of lives we will continue to convince our partners,” Zelensky stressed.
Let’s recall that Zelensky previously chaired a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Headquarters. The main topic is the strengthening of air defense and the production of drones.
