Russian invaders on the night of today, November 9 (from 21.00 November 8) attacked Ukraine with a total of 51 Shahed-type attack drones and unidentified type drones.
The drones were launched from the Russian regions of Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Orel, the press service of the Air Force reports.
The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the report said.
As of 08.00:
- the beating of 32 enemy UAVs was confirmed in Odessa, Nikolaev, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Donetsk, Sumy, Kharkov, Poltava, Vinnitsa, Cherkassy and Ternopil regions;
- 18 enemy drones were locally lost in different regions of Ukraine.
Odessa region was at the epicenter of the attack. The defense forces of southern Ukraine report in their Telegram channel that as a result of the attack:
- Several high-rise buildings, private houses, administrative buildings, warehouses and cars were damaged;
- There are casualties among the civilian population.
