From January 1, 2025, the government will add a monthly “teacher supplement” to teachers’ salaries.
The government decided to introduce a monthly “teacher supplement” to teachers’ salaries in the amount of 1,000 hryvnias. Prime Minister Denis Shmygal announced this on Telegram on Friday, November 8.
“Today, following the instructions of the President of Ukraine, we are making an important decision in support of our teachers. From January 1, 2025, we are introducing a monthly “teacher supplement” to teachers’ salaries in the amount of 1,000. Hryvnia “in hand,” he said.
Shmygal clarified that from September 1, 2025, this payment will increase to 2,000 hryvnia “on hand” for each teacher.
We remind you that earlier the Cabinet of Ministers changed the procedure for accumulating experience for teachers working abroad.
According to the head of the Ministry of Education and Science, Oksen Lesovoy, there is a huge shortage of teachers in Ukraine, and this problem can be solved by including teachers from IDPs.
