The UK introduced a huge package of sanctions against the Russian Federation.
London announced the introduction of the largest package of new sanctions against the Russian military-industrial complex. Thus, restrictions on the supply of critical equipment necessary for Moscow to wage war in Ukraine have been strengthened. This was reported by the press service of the British government.
The sanctions list included suppliers supporting Russian military production, as well as pro-Kremlin mercenary groups operating in sub-Saharan Africa. Also from now on, the GRU agent involved in the attack using the Novichok substance in Salisbury is also under sanctions.
In addition, restrictions apply to organizations from China, Turkey and Central Asian countries that support the Russian military-industrial complex.
According to British Foreign Secretary David Lemmy, new new sanctions are aimed at undermining Russian foreign policy in Africa and limiting the supply of critical equipment for the Russian army.
Let us recall that on October 17, Great Britain introduced a package of sanctions against the so-called “shadow fleet” of Russia. Another 18 oil tankers were hit. Also subject to sanctions were four more tankers for transporting liquefied gas and the Russian gas company Rusgazdobycha JSC.
