The air force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down four Russian missiles and 62 attack drones during the night with casualties in the Kyiv region. The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on its Telegram channel.
On the night of November 8, 2024, the enemy attacked an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Rostov region, four X-59/69 guided aircraft missiles from the airspace of the Belgorod region, 92 attack UAVs of the “Shahed” type and unidentified drones from the directions of the cities of Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Orel, as well as Cape Chauda in occupied Crimea. Also, the enemy’s tactical aviation carried out attacks with guided bombs in the Kharkov and Sumy regions.
At 09:00, the downing of four X-59/69 guided aircraft missiles and 62 enemy UAVs was confirmed in Odessa, Nikolaev, Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkov, Poltava, Kirovograd, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Dnepropetrovsk, Khmelnytsky and Ivano- Franki regions.
Another 26 enemy drones were lost locally in different regions of Ukraine. One is still in Ukrainian airspace. Combat work continues.
The head of the Kyiv Police Department, Ruslan Kravchenko, said that four drivers were injured as a result of falling debris in the Kyiv region. One of them is in serious condition, while the other two drivers are in moderate condition. One was slightly injured. All receive necessary medical care. The victims were taken to a local hospital.
The National Police of Ukraine clarified that at 07:30, six private houses and four vehicles were damaged as a result of the Russian attack. There was also a grass fire and a fire at the site of an inactive gas filling station, which has since been extinguished.
The fighters of the RV units have already been reported. and Kurt&Company of the 28th Mechanized Infantry Brigade broke up another Russian attack group on the approach to Toretsk.
In addition, Ukrainian defenders destroyed the Russian Buk-M2 air defense system in the Zaporozhye region.
