Recent contracts, signed in September and October for 1 billion Hryvnia, provide for rapid delivery, some of which have already been completed.
Since the beginning of the year, the Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense has concluded contracts for the supply of more than 11,000 electronic warfare equipment with a total value of more than 6 billion Hryvnias. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science on Thursday, November 7.
Most of the systems have already been transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In particular, in September-October alone, several thousand electronic warfare equipment were contracted for more than 1 billion Hryvnia. These are usually short-range portable systems. It was mentioned that they could have cars and equipment to protect the crew from enemy FPV drones. Or use it in positions to detect and suppress drone control channels. In addition, separate electronic warfare equipment was purchased for tactical use.
In the case of purchasing electronic warfare equipment abroad, contracts are concluded directly with foreign manufacturers, which saves money.
Agency Director Marina Bezrukova emphasized that the rapid closure of the urgent needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine remains a priority. And he added that the recent contracts concluded in September and October for 1 billion Hryvnia provide for quick delivery, some of which have already been completed.
We remind you that for 2024-2025, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Digital Development have already contracted 1.8 million drones for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for 147 billion hryvnias.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense announced that the plan for the production of drones had been exceeded. During the nine months of this year, 140 unmanned aerial systems and 33 ground-based robotic systems of domestic production were approved for operation.
