To this day, violators continue to use hard-to-reach places to infiltrate. In particular, draft dodgers use the route across the Tisza River in Transcarpathia.
In Ukraine, since the beginning of the mass invasion of the Russian Federation, more than 40 of its citizens have lost their lives trying to illegally cross the border in inaccessible mountainous areas or along rivers, especially in by Tisa. The spokesman of the State Border Guard Service, Colonel Andrei Demchenko, announced this at the telethon on Thursday, November 7.
“So far, more than 40 people have died while crossing hard-to-reach mountainous areas or bordering rivers, and most of these cases have been recorded in river sections,” said Demchenko.
At the same time, the official noted that the border guards are currently expecting a decrease in the number of attempts to cross the border due to the approaching winter.
However, violators still continue to use hard-to-reach areas to get away. In particular, draft dodgers use the route across the Tisza River in Transcarpathia.
We remind you that frequent attempts to illegally cross the border by men have been recorded in the direction of Romania and Moldova.
Let’s add that in Transcarpathia, border guards detained a man while crossing the border trying to leave Ukraine using forged documents in the name of a 25-year-old Odessa woman.
As reported, according to the State Border Guard Service, the number of people who want to illegally cross the state border has decreased by 20% compared to the summer months.
