The Supreme Court of Russia in Moscow on Wednesday recognized the legality of the sentence of former Donetsk separatist commander Igor Strelkov (Girkin). This was reported by RosSMI on Wednesday, November 6.
Strelkov was sentenced to four years in a general regime colony on charges of calling for extremist activity.
The meeting was held behind closed doors. Currently, former FSB colonel Igor Strelkov is serving his sentence in colony No. 5 of the Kirov region of the Russian Federation.
Strelkov was arrested in June 2023. According to investigators, two of his Telegram posts contained calls for extremist activities. He did not admit his guilt.
In January, Girkin was sentenced to 4 years in a general colony of the regime on a charge of public calling for extremist activity.
As reported, Girkin, convicted in the Russian Federation, may be sent from the colony to the war.
