Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky responded to the preliminary results of the US elections.
The head of state has already congratulated Donald Trump on his victory in the US presidential election. He called the Republican candidate’s victory “impressive.” The Ukrainian leader published a corresponding message on the social network X.
Zelensky added that he appreciates Trump’s commitment to the “peace through strength” approach, which “can really bring a just peace in Ukraine closer.”
The President stressed that Ukraine expects “an era of a strong United States” under the decisive leadership of Trump and counts on further “powerful bipartisan support for Ukraine.” He also noted that he was looking forward to the opportunity to personally congratulate Trump.
Let us remind you that Republican Donald Trump has already declared his victory in the US presidential election, although the vote count continues. He promised a “new golden age for America,” making it safe and prosperous.
