Currently, power engineers are continuing emergency restoration work on the lines. Bad weather conditions persist in some areas.
As of Tuesday morning, 218 settlements in 10 regions were cut off in Ukraine due to bad weather. Ukrenergo reported this on November 5.
“As a result of stormy weather in some regions of Ukraine, 218 settlements were cut off in the morning – in the regions of Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Nikolaev, Cherkassy, Kirovograd, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv and Chernihiv, ” said the message. .
Currently, power engineers are continuing emergency restoration work on the lines. In some places, difficult weather conditions remain – strong gusts of wind.
Meanwhile, electricity consumption decreased by 4.5% compared to the previous day.
The reason for this change is the establishment of sunny weather in most areas and, accordingly, better operation of household solar power plants than yesterday, energy workers explained.
At the same time, they remind you that during the hours of maximum consumption in the morning and evening, there remains a shortage of electricity in the energy system. Therefore, citizens should not turn on several powerful electrical appliances at the same time from 7:00 to 11:00 in the morning and from 16:00 to 21:00 at night.
Today, Ukraine imports electricity from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and Moldova with a total volume of 2,150 MWh, with a peak power of up to 395 MW at certain times.
As you know, Ukrenergo is preparing several scenarios for the winter of 2024-2025 in Ukraine. They warned that it would be difficult.
We remind you that the National Security and Defense Council expects large-scale attacks on the Russian energy sector. The enemy may resume the attack at the beginning of the warm-up period.
