The US Department of Justice has warned that the fraud may violate federal laws, but has yet to take any public action.
Pennsylvania Judge Angelo Foglietta allowed Elon Musk to hand out $1 million daily to voters for the US President. It was reported on Monday, November 4, by Reuters.
The judge made the corresponding decision after Musk’s assistant admitted that the winners were not randomly determined, as the billionaire said, but were chosen.
Elon Musk has already given out $16 million to arrested voters who signed a petition from his political group America PAC. The winner from Arizona was announced Monday, and the final winner from Michigan is scheduled to be announced on Election Day.
America PAC, founded by Musk, launched the campaign on October 19 to voters in seven key states – Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Giveaway participants must sign a petition in support of free speech and gun rights.
Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner filed a lawsuit Oct. 28 to block the drawing, arguing that paying voters is an illegal lottery with unclear rules. Judge Foglietta denied this request and noted that he would explain his reasons later.
American entrepreneur Elon Musk did not appear at a court hearing in Pennsylvania, where they considered the issue of his distribution of $1 million to voters before the November 5 vote.
We previously wrote that Elon Musk was summoned to court in the case of the suspension of his political committee America PAC, which raffled $1 million to American voters in swing states.
