The German defense concern Rheinmetall will soon complete the construction of its second plant in Ukraine.
The first enterprise was opened only recently. The German defense industry is crucial for the security of Europe and Ukraine. From 2022 Rheinmetall has significantly increased its ammunition production. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated this at a press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
According to him, in Bavaria, American and European companies, together with NATO, are producing 1 thousand anti-aircraft missiles for Patriot air defense systems at a new plant.
Rutte stressed that NATO countries must increase production rates. This will ensure security for a billion citizens.
Therefore, we are strengthening our support for Ukraine and are already cooperating with the EU and other like-minded partners around the world, he added.
Let us recall that in July it became known that the German concern Rheinmetall officially received orders for the construction of an ammunition plant in Ukraine. The order from the Ukrainian government includes full technical equipment of the enterprise – right up to commissioning.
