The opposition plans to organize a strong protest movement that will “allow the regime to be ousted.”
The Georgian opposition has announced daily protests against the results of the parliamentary elections. This is what one of the leaders of the Coalition for Changes, Nika Melia, reported the Echo of the Caucasus on Monday, November 5.
The opposition plans to organize a strong protest movement that will “allow the regime to be ousted.” On Tuesday, November 5, a protest will take place at the Sports Palace in Tbilisi.
“Every day we are on the street there should be so many of us that no one can enter it (parliament – ed.), but just standing in Rustaveli is not enough, we must stand in all ways,” said Melia.
The opposition intends to block Tbilisi’s main transport arteries.
We remind you that according to the Georgian Central Election Commission, the ruling Georgian Dream party won the parliamentary elections.
Georgian opposition political forces declared that they did not recognize the election results and announced protests. They said they will also boycott the new parliament so as not to recognize its legitimacy.
