Lithuania transferred 230 vehicles and 240 mine detectors to Ukraine as part of the Mine Action Coalition. The press service of the Ministry of Defense reported this on Monday, November 4.
During a visit to Kyiv, the Lithuanian Minister of National Defense Laurynas Kasciunas provided a package of assistance to the Ukrainian Defense Forces within the framework of the Mine Action Coalition – 230 pickup trucks and 240 mine detectors.
He stressed that Lithuania will continue to contribute to the strengthening of Ukraine’s military potential, and called on other countries and organizations to join this mission.
In this regard, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov expressed gratitude to Lithuania for the assistance provided by the country since the beginning of the full invasion.
He also added that this method will significantly improve our sappers.
“The vehicles will be used for humanitarian demining to save the lives of our citizens. In addition, it will help increase the mobility of the demining teams that daily clear the territories for the safe advancement of our people. unit,” emphasized Umerov.
We remind you that Lithuania will invest 10 million euros in the production of Ukrainian Palyanytsya missile-drone, following the example of the “Danish model” of direct financing of the manufacturer. The mechanism was discussed by representatives of the defense departments of both countries.
