The petition to ban face-to-face education garnered 25,000 votes

The appeal says not all schools and kindergartens are equipped with shelters, and it will not be easy to evacuate large numbers of children in a matter of minutes.

In less than a month, 25,406 Ukrainians signed the petition on the President’s website. The author of the appeal proposes to ban full-time education in all educational institutions until the end of martial law and combat.

The author of the petition, Maria Gorsheneva, who disputed her proposal, noted the lack of bomb shelters in some educational institutions, narrow corridors and staircases, an insufficient number of teachers and elementary school educator to arrange a rapid evacuation of children, the duration of air raids, and so on.

In addition, she noted that emotional stress due to anxiety can prevent children from concentrating on their learning. And also – the inability to participate in full -time education in schools for children who temporarily go abroad.

Since the appeal received the required number of votes, it must be considered by the President of Ukraine.

Recall that former President Volodymyr Zelensky supported a petition to ban fireworks. It was registered in December last year, it only received support after the start of a full -scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
