For some specialties, the share of state funding will decrease, and the main funding will come through grants.
The Ministry of Education does not plan to cancel the state mandate for training, but intends to increase funding for specialties where the state predicts an increase in demand. This was announced on Sunday, November 3, by Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Education Mikhail Vinnitsky on television.
“Starting next year, it is planned to expand the number of the budget and provide places for future doctors, teachers, psychologists, construction engineers and agronomists, which will allow most of these places to study at the expense of the state,” he said.
At the same time, Vinnitsky noted that for other specialties the share of state funding will decrease, and the main funding will come through grants.
According to him, currently popular areas such as law, economics, marketing and restaurant business may receive less government funding in the future.
The British rating agency Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025 includes 17 Ukrainian universities.
Let’s recall that the Ministry of Education and Science has developed a draft model curriculum for the Defense of Ukraine for 10-11 grade schools, which should be the main element of a comprehensive update of the subject aimed at developing young people of national identity and skills. to protect their own lives.
