Ukraine has begun the period of withdrawal of natural gas from underground storage facilities (UGS). This is confirmed by data from the association of European underground gas storage operators (GSE) on Sunday, November 3, writes Interfax-Ukraine.
It indicates that on November 1, the storage volume decreased by 0.05%.
In this regard, the head of Naftogaz, Alexey Chernyshov, reported on his Facebook page that the heating season has begun actively in Ukrainian cities. According to him, at the beginning of the heating season, 78% of social infrastructure facilities and 46% of the residential sector were connected.
Chernyshev noted that during the heating season of 2023/2024, Ukraine used about 6.7 billion cubic meters. m of gas from its storage facilities and expects similar volumes for the 2024/2025 season.
The previous day, the Minister of Energy German Galushchenko said that Ukraine will have enough natural gas to get through the autumn-winter period of 2024/2025. taking into account its consumption of electricity facilities.
