The arsenal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be replenished with a new combat module.
The Ministry of Defense has codified and approved the Tavria remote-controlled turret for use in the military. The module is equipped with two machine guns, one of which is large-caliber. This turret can be installed on armored combat vehicles or equipped with ground robotic platforms. The Ministry of Defense reported this on November 2 on Telegram.
The department said that Tavria, using a control system, captures and tracks targets and can conduct targeted fire at moving objects. The turret can operate both day and night.
The entire module is equipped with armor protection, which will protect not only from balls from small arms, but also from fragments of ammunition.
When installed on armored vehicles, the combat module control panel and operator monitor are located inside the armored combat vehicle. This provides additional protection for the module operator in combat, the Ministry of Defense noted.
Let us recall that in October the Ministry of Defense codified and allowed the use of the Targan unmanned ground robotic complex in units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which can transport ammunition, food or equipment for fighters.
