The first reintegration center is already operating in the central region and provides medical, rehabilitation and psychological assistance to defenders on their return from captivity.
The first reintegration center for military personnel released from captivity was opened in Ukraine. Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced this on Facebook on Saturday, November 2.
According to him, we are talking about a medical institution that operates in the central region and already provides medical, rehabilitation and psychological assistance to defenders after returning from captivity. The institution received the corresponding status by order of the Ministry of Defense.
“The reintegration center is a special complex that provides all services in one place: medical, rehabilitation and psychological assistance, as well as reintegration activities and assistance in obtaining certificates and restoring documents,” wrote the minister.
Currently, the center has a capacity of 100 beds with the possibility of expanding to 200 or more through rehabilitation beds.
“We have also received initial suggestions and wishes from military personnel and medical personnel all of which will be considered by the Health Department of the Ministry of Defense,” Umerov added.
Let’s remember that during the mass war, Ukraine managed to save more than 3,000 people from Russian captivity. About one-third of them were reported missing.
As you know, the last exchange of prisoners took place on October 19. Then Ukraine returned 95 military personnel.
