In the city of Krakow in Poland, a 21-year-old Ukrainian died while detained by city guards. Prior to his death, the deceased was removed from the tram tracks where he was lying. This was reported by the Polish edition of RMF24.
The message says that the Krakow city guard duty has received a message about someone’s inappropriate behavior. According to witnesses, the man lay on the rails in front of the tram.
City guard crews tried to arrive at the scene to calm the man down, but eventually they had to use physical force for it. Upon arrest, he suddenly lost consciousness.
He was given first aid by security guards and the tram driver. As a result, a team of doctors also arrived at the scene, who performed resuscitation measures, but the man was never rescued. He died of sudden cardiac arrest.
According to media reports, the deceased was a 21 -year -old citizen of Ukraine.
The body of the deceased was brought for forensic medical examination. According to preliminary data, no wounds were found on the body of the deceased, indicating a beating.
Currently, the prosecutor’s office, which is investigating this case, is awaiting the results of tests for alcohol or psychotropic substances in the blood of the deceased. They also found out all the circumstances of the incident and what actions of the Krakow city guard.
