The US Department of Defense announced a new package of military assistance to Ukraine worth $425 million.
This was reported today, November 1, on the department’s website.
It is noted that this assistance is intended to meet the important needs of Ukraine in the field of security and defense. This is the 69th tranche of equipment that the Joe Biden administration is providing to Ukraine from the US Department of Defense stockpile, starting in August 2021.
This assistance package includes:
- ammunition for NASAMS air defense systems;
- Stinger missiles;
- equipment and ammunition to counter unmanned aircraft systems (c-UAS);
- air-to-ground ammunition;
- ammunition for HIMARS;
- 155 mm and 105 mm artillery ammunition;
- TOW anti-tank missiles;
- Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems;
- Stryker armored personnel carriers;
- small arms and ammunition;
- medical equipment;
- equipment and ammunition for blasting operations;
- parts, accessories, services, training and transportation.
