The system of medical and social expert commissions in Ukraine will be reformed.
On Friday, November 1, Health Minister Viktor Lyashko reported to the Verkhovna Rada. He revealed the details of MSEC. People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported this on Telegram.
Experts are now preparing a draft law to replace the system of medical and social expert commissions. The bill is already being considered in the Cabinet of Ministers, and then the document will be registered in parliament.
As part of the reform, more than 500 MSECs in Ukraine will be replaced by a team of expert doctors.
Lyashko promised that the new system will be digitalized as much as possible in order to reduce the risk of corruption and the human factor.
Let us remind you that recently the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree on the liquidation of medical and social expert commissions.
And on October 29, the Verkhovna Rada adopted Law No. 11225 “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on Improving the Procedures for Conducting Medical and Social Examinations.” In particular, the document provides for entering information about MSEC results into the electronic health care system to simplify doctors’ access to data and speed up decision-making and transparency.
