Ukraine’s friends should not be forced to defend themselves with their hands tied behind their backs. The only limitation should be international law.
Norway believes that partners should not impose any restrictions on Ukraine on the use of transferred weapons. Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Bart Eide said this on the sidelines of the Formula World conference in Montreal, reports Ukrinform.
“Ukraine’s friends and supporters should not be told to defend itself with its hands tied behind its back. We should allow Ukraine to choose how to use the weapons it provides to achieve maximum effect,” he said. .
According to Eide, the only restriction for Ukraine in this matter should be international law.
“However, international law does not prohibit Ukraine from fighting the aggressor, Russia is the aggressor, it chose the war and must understand that this war can spread to its territory,” the head of the Norwegian Foreign Ministry.
The day before it was reported that Norway will allocate $119 million for weapons for Ukrainian F-16s.
Before this, Norway allocated a new aid package to Ukraine worth 500 million euros. More than half of this amount is military aid.
