The SBU detained a Russian military intelligence agent in Kharkov who was preparing a new series of missile and bomb attacks on the city.
To do this, the 63-year-old woman suggested that the military clean the houses where they lived and started “heartfelt” conversations with them.
Thus, she gained trust and scouted information, which she then passed on to curators from the Russian special services.
The traitor forwarded the information she received to her Russian curator in the form of screenshots with marks of potential targets on Google maps.
SBU counterintelligence officers exposed the agent in advance and, after documenting her criminal actions, detained her “in the act” when she was conducting additional reconnaissance near a military facility.
The detainee’s mobile phone, which she used to communicate with the Russian game, was confiscated.
The attacker is in custody. She faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
